Yep, Lost Dutchman was a
wonderful home base for lots of interesting adventures. It also gave us a
chance to catch up with some old friends.

We headed down to Old
Town Scottsdale to meet up with full time RVers Paul and Carol. We first met
them last year in Alamogordo, NM where we spent a fun day with them at White
Sands.
Judy, Chuck, Peg, Rick, JoAnne |
Also, we caught up with
two high school friends. Yes… High School! We had re-connected last year when
we went back to Lombard for our 50th reunion. Peg and her husband
Chuck live year round in Apache Junction and Judy and her husband Paul spend
winters near Goodyear.

We also got to meet
fellow RVers and bloggers Emily and Mark Fagan. We had been following their Roads Less Traveled blog for some time and it was great to meet them.
Interestingly enough, this was the first campground they had stayed at in over
7 months. Yes, they are serious boondockers. Oh, they also had some very cool
cameras and mountain bikes… Envy!
Saint Patricks’ day was
celebrated with a great meal of corned beef and cabbage. Who says you can’t
cook great meals on the road!
We came close to experiencing one of the infamous Phoenix dust storms.
Finally, we got to just hang out and enjoy the desert.
