A visit to the moon…

Thursday, August 20, 2009
Well…not really…Today was the day we regretfully headed out of Yellowstone. On our way out of the park we stopped at the Norris Geyser Basin which is the largest in the world and has an incredible “moonscape quality” about it.
Quite impressive!
We also stopped in Mammoth Springs, walked around, had a bite to eat, and then headed toward Glacier National Park. Right outside of Mammoth we again saw people stopped along the road – Big Horn Sheep and their babies on a steep hillside. Absolutely amazing!
We camped in Garrison, Montana for the night – but first had an interesting dinner at a local place called “The Ranch.”
